Tooth and Claw is a gorgeous world of unspoilt wilderness and simple creatures living simple, if often brutal, lives. The world actively reshapes any new arrivals to suit. Regardless of who, or what, you were before you arrived, you are now a woodland creature, bereft of magical or technological enhancements.

Submission Guidelines

This is a sign up campaign, but the requirements are modest:

  • Your character arrives as a non-anthropomorphic animal of coyote-size or smaller. Please include the species you want to play in your note to the GM.
  • Campaign specific profiles are nice, but not required.
  • You are free to go off-model on colouring and other aesthetic features, but characters should otherwise present as normal animals, regardless of what abilities or modifications they have in their native form.
  • Characters can arrive from The City, from other worlds, or be locals.

The setting is called Tooth and Claw because that's what you are stuck with - no technology, no magic, no advanced multi-species forest kingdoms.

It can be difficult to engage the locals in conversation (not least because several of them will want to eat you), but once you are over that hurdle, they will tell you that 'strangers' are not uncommon, and are widely regarded as lunatics and easy pickings. Further conversation will reveal that there are tales of 'a great brightness' off to the west, on the other side of a great river, and that it seems to have a great draw to strangers.

And so here you are, on the edge of a forest, on an alien world, in an alien form, with nothing but strange stories that might - and only might - point to a way home. What do you do?
